The old town of Nessebar is situated on a picturesque small peninsula and on the land jutted out into the sea, 15 km south-east of Sunny Beach. As a museum town Nessebar is classified as a world heritage site and it is under an UNESCO preservation order. In this small town you can see the remains of over 40 ancient churches and centuries old traditional Bulgarian houses.
Its beach is considered to be the best along the Black Sea coast. The sand strip is 4,5 km long covered with extremely fine and abundant clean golden sand.

 Accomodation
The price of hotel rooms depends on the category and the season. Recently there have been a large number of private hotels, with excellent facilities offered to tourists.
An approximate idea about accommodation prices in hotels:
- 5-star Hotel 150 EUR for a double room, 120 for a single;
- 4-star Hotel 120 EUR for a double room, 100 for a single;
- 3-star Hotel 90 EUR for a double room, 60 for a single;
- private lodgings 20 EUR for a good two-bed room with a bathroom and WC.
Most hotels offer breakfast included in the price.
For the prime hotels one should make preliminary reservation by phone, fax or e-mail.
Off the active tourist season these prices usually fall twice.
